Thank you to all of you who showed up to our last club meeting of the semester, as well as to those of you who participated in the tournament. 
The results are as follows:
1st place: Simo
2nd place: Sal
3rd place tie: Monica& Steven (hey, you should have been in the picture).
Honorable mentions that we didn’t have time to do fence offs for:
“Inigo Montoya” (who did pretty well for an epeeist), Luis, Taylor, Trevor (who did pretty well for a saberest[sp?]), David and Leon.
It was our first all-electric tournament here at SCC, and that was quite exciting. And because we did lose a blade or two this year, this is the part of the blog where I HIGHLY recommend members to invest in their own equipment. Look! Here’s a link to get you started. If you’re tired of using the club equipment that gets washed once a semester at best, if you’re serious about this sport, buying your own stuff is a pretty good idea. It’s almost Christmas. And who wouldn’t want a shiny new sword underneath their Christmas tree? 
The room request form for next semester is already in, so hopefully at the beginning of next year we will be able to get an early start! We will be holding elections next semester as well, so be prepared! We will be needing a VP for sure. Also, if you’re not already plugged in to the Google Group, please do so. There’s a link at the bottom of the page.
